The Test Bowling Rankings also witnessed significant movement for Australia's captain, Pat Cummins. Marco Jansen, another pacer who shone in the Boxing Day Test, climbed six places to reach fifth in the bowling rankings after claiming seven wickets in South Africa's victory over Pakistan. This milestone also marked the first time Jansen surpassed the 800-rating point mark.

In the same match, Aiden Markram's resilient innings propelled him back into the world's top 20 batters as South Africa secured their place in the ICC Test Championship final. Notably, impressive performances by Yashasvi Jaiswal, Steve Smith, Saud Shakeel, and Nitish Kumar Reddy also resulted in significant gains in the Test batting rankings.


The Boxing Day Test between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan witnessed a flurry of runs, with six centuries scored.
